Marketing Assistants Program
The Marketing Assistants engage in event planning, promotion/social media activities, university-wide recruiting, event planning (major fairs, speaking engagements, representing the department at internal/external events, etc.), hosting corporate partners, and Marketing-specific prospective student and corporate tours. Also, Marketing Assistants take on Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant duties. In addition to participating in meaningful work that benefits both current and prospective Marketing students, Marketing Assistants have the opportunity to participate in networking and professional development opportunities throughout the year.
All Marketing Assistants work 10 hours a week in both face-to-face and remote capacities for a year. To be eligible to become a Marketing Assistant, you must be a current Marketing undergraduate or AMP in Marketing student. You must also be an incoming junior or senior by UA credit hours (i.e., must have at least 60 UA earned hours).

If you are interested in taking a tour with a Marketing Assistant, you can specify certain areas of the Marketing department that you would like to explore. Some examples of tour options include:
- Learn about the Accelerated Masters Program of Marketing via a visit to the Manderson Graduate School of Business Office
- Meet with an advisor in Bidgood Hall
- View the Sales lab in Shelby Hall
- Visit the TIDE behavioral lab, Career Center, and Bruno Library
- Explore the inside of a University of Alabama Business classroom
- Coffee Chat with a Marketing Assistant in Hewson Hall
- Crash a class (attend a one-hour upper-division Marketing class)
Please request any tours one week prior to your date of visit. This allows us to provide the best tour experience possible. Although we attempt to honor all requests, ones made within one week of the desired date are not guaranteed.

Autumn Jilek
Year: Senior Hometown: Chicago, IL I am an Accelerated Master’s student majoring in Marketing with a specialization in Digital & Social Media and a minor in Psychology. I am involved in Capstone Agency, Alabama’s student-led PR firm.
Catherine Besand
Year: Senior Hometown: Nashville, TN I’m an Accelerated Master’s in Marketing student with a concentration in Digital & Social Media. I am a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi and Director of Communications for Manderson Women in Business.
Devin Disalvo
Year: Senior Hometown: Northport, AL I am a Marketing major in Culverhouse College of Business with a minor in Public Relations. Outside of school, I play for our eSports organization in addition to working at a local restaurant called The Front Porch.
Georgia Junker
Year: Senior Hometown: Niceville, FL I am in the Alabama Honors College pursuing my Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing with a concentration in Digital and Social Media. I serve as the President of Not On My Campus.
Hays Hooten
Year: Senior Hometown: Winston Salem, NC I am a Marketing major currently pursuing dual degrees through the Accelerated Master’s Program. I have a minor in Sales. In my free time, I love going to the beach and spending time with friends & family!
Jadyn Fields
Year: Junior Hometown: Jacksonville, FL I am a Marketing major with a double minor in Management and African American Studies. On-campus, I am involved in the Business Honors Program, Women of Excellence, and Black Business Students Association.
Julian Sanchez
Year: Senior Hometown: Birmingham, AL I am a Marketing major with a minor in Sales. Before transferring to UA, I got my Associate of Arts from Coastal Alabama Community College. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis.
Kristen Kassel
Year: Senior Hometown: Emmetsburg, IA I am a part of the Accelerated Masters Program majoring in Marketing with a specialization in Marketing Analytics. Throughout my time on campus, I have been involved in Greek life, the Honors College, and study abroad!
Morgan Steinkamp
Year: Junior Hometown: Minneapolis, MN I am an Honors Marketing major with a Political Science minor. I will begin my MS in Marketing this fall. On-campus, I am involved with AKPsi, PWCB, and First-Generation groups. In the future, I hope to pursue a Ph.D.
Piper Brantley
Year: Junior Hometown: Chattanooga, TN I am majoring in Marketing with a minor in Advertising through the Accelerated Master’s Program. I am very passionate about mental health awareness and l have a love for graphic design.
Savannah Evanko
Year: Junior Hometown: San Diego, CA I’m a part of the Accelerated Master’s Program for Marketing with minors in History and Management. On-campus, I serve on Delta Sigma Pi’s Executive Board, and am a member of Chi Omega.
